Aims of the centre

It is the aim of the Centre to ensure that every child reaches or exceeds their full potential.  Staff work hard to raise self-esteem and self-confidence and to equip the children with a range of effective personal management skills.  The work is carried out in a safe, secure and nurturing environment which is also designed to stimulate the imagination and provide an atmosphere which is conducive to learning.

Although the pupils in the LSC are younger than the secondary aged pupils in the main part of the school they are considered to be full members of the school community and are able to access the full range of specialist facilities and equipment which exist at the school.  They are also included in the rich social and cultural life at the school and enjoy the various activities organised throughout the year.
