Our Key Stage 3 SEBD unit (for 11-14 year olds) is in Theodore road, Port Talbot, it caters for pupils with Social Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties.
The unit is made up of four classrooms, a large dining hall and a multi skills room where we have our cookery lessons and practical activities, from science experiments to project work.
We also have a small ‘Cwtch‘ room, which is used for sensory and therapeutic interventions, such as music therapy and ELSA but also serves as a general chill out area with a sofa, a keyboard and an x Box.
We are lucky enough to be able to use the large local park for exercise or when anyone needs a break from work and space to unwind.
Wellbeing is a key focus along with an active and meaningful curriculum to engage our young learners. Pupils from here often progress to our Key Stage 4 provision based in Velindre.
